First speeding ticket

i got out from a $332 ticket. i've postponed my court date and the cop didnt show up. no need to do traffic school. i was hella lucky.

In Watagua county in NC Boone Police officers and Sheriffs are required to schedule all court dates on there vacation time. So 90% of them don't show up. I've gotten out of 5 tickets that way. I don't really speed anymore, learned my lesson but its kind of ridiculous how the govn't tries to cut corners

If you just pay the speeding ticket fine there will be a moving violation on your record. You're pretty much guaranteed that your insurance will go up.

Back in my younger days I did the same thing when I got a ticket on a motorcycle. My insurance premium doubled when I received my renewal notice. Since the amount I owed on the bike was less than the cost of the insurance renewal I just paid off my loan and canceled my insurance. That was before they had mandatory insurance laws.

wait so if we get a speeding ticket we can get it taken off if we do go to traffic school? wtf I never heard of that

yes, but only if you have not had a moving violation at least a year between the tickets or something like that. i know there is a limit on that, but check with your dmv to make sure. also, u can take the class online if they let u.
