Default First Ride on the 1000

So, after not being on a bike for 6 months, it was damn awkward for the first few miles. Things came around nicely though. My "just a trip around the neightborhood" turned into about 60 miles, all within a short distance from home. I couldn't stop.
I love it. Taking it easy during break in and tire scrub in. Didn't get over 65 and kept it below 5k rpms. 60 mph shows up in a damn hurry with no effort. Felt the front get awfully light in 2nd gear with too much acceleration. That's what I like to see.

Also, after 6 months, nothing has changed. Saw 2 other bikes out today, on 2 seperate occasions- both harely's. I waved but neither waved back. I also had to dispense the finger to some cager who wasabout 2 feet across the double yellow headed for me.
But yes, the silver bullet is quite a dirty machine!!

It's always cager rage season!

Anyway, yeah, keep the 600 and add the 1000 with it. Last fall I was toying around with the idea of keeping my F4i and getting a 1000RR this year. It'd be nice to have both. Unfortunately, the F4i got toasted and now I can't afford to spend the dough on a 600 in addition to my new 1000.
