The day I picked up my bike. The guy drops me and the bike off at an intersection. This happens to be on a particularly cold Februrary day. Anyways, there's a bus at one of the lights and I pull out and there happens to be a slick and icy spot as I roll on, slip, hook, low speed high side. Dislocated left shoulder and the rest of the left side of my body is useless because of sprains. I spent a month rolling around on my computer chair and confined to my apartment when I finally managed to get home, had friends buy me cartons of cigarettes and bottles of water until I recovered. I'm sure it looked hilarious from the outside, people on the bus, all the other people waiting at that intersection.
