Default camcorder recording

does any one use a camcorder on their gas tank? what kind do you use and how do you mount it? i have wanted to make a riding video but i don't know how to secure the camcorder so as not to damage it. any input would help

I'm wondering the same thing. I've got a Sony mini-DVD camcorder that I can't wait to use onboard.

If you want to spend some money, they make camera mounts that bolt on to the tank
Here is a website that sells them...Camera Mounts...I haven't done too much research on it, so i don't
know if you can buy them cheaper.

I've thought about this type of mount, but I wonder about the camera shake.

i use this mount. click here works well, but i've never used it for a camcorder. i use it for mounting my gps where its easy to see and use but still out of the way. i would definately trust it for a camcorder but the heavier weight may cause vibrations. there are no vibrations with the gps, but it weighs nothing. and the price is much cheaper than the one in the link above.

check out the for sale wanted section of the forum. i'm pretty sure a guy posted a while back that makes them and offers cbrforum members free shipping or somthing. price was around 30$ also
