Default Buying out of state

Morning everyone,
I'm thinking about buying a bike from out of state and I've got 2 questions.
First, do you guys know of any affordable, reliable motorcycle shipping companies? The internet yields a ton of results and I don't know which ones are trustworthy.
Second, what has been y'alls experience with buying a bike online/ebay and getting the title transferred to you. Any problems? Anything to worry about?

Thanks,
Acumen

I wouldnt buy outa state unless its close enough to drive to it. I know when I registered my bike we had to get the title transfer noterized and no one would do it unless me and the seller were both present other wise the DMV would not register my bike.

I would never buy a bike sight unseen. If you can't drive there to look at it and pick it up then I would not buy it. You can't tell how something look, runs and rides form pix.

yeh i would just say drive out there with a pick up truck if you can. what state are you from? I am sure you could find a bike closer if the one your looking at is on the other side of the country.

I bought mine off ebay from a guy about 8 hours away. That was my limit, it was still close enough I could pick it up and be back home in a day. Luckily he actually devivered it since he was going on vacation and had to pass through anyway. But look up the title laws in the state you are buying from and your own. Here in Ohio we need to have the title notorozed, but since the bike was from Michigan and they don't require a notory to sign, I was alright with just his and my signature. But called my local title office to make sure, since the wording on the state internet sites was a little confusing.
