Default Bike in Storage Unit?

Im moving to an apartment where Im not comfortable keeping my bike, and there a local storage unit place a block away from my apartment. And Im wondering, "has anyone ever kept their bike in a storage unit?" Like renting garage space, what do you guys think?

its secure,7 Day A Week Gate Access. Gate Hours from 6:00AM – 11:00 PM.
You choose you own unique gate code. There is 24 Hour Monitored Surveillance, Lighting through out the property.

any thoughts...??

Good option, just extra money...My bud has a full garage size and it is his "getaway" spot. weve fixed up a few scooters there. i think he paid 80 a month. the one you will need is about 40-50 buck a month. if you can afford it , this is a good option...

As long as you're not riding daily, then it would be ok. If you're using it as a "garage" for daily use, the process of going there & accessing your bike, will get old fast. But, if its just to keep your bike there til the wknds, etc, then that could be a good option.

Any way you could keep your bike in your apt? I know riders that do that.

Agreed, sounds like a good option.

I have had to store my bike in a storage unit before. However I was able to find a place with managers living on site.

Gotta watch the site's rules though. Some storage places won't allow a vehicle (especially filled with gas) to be stored in their enclosed spaces. They may force you to store it out in an open lot area. And that isn't secure at all.

Their rent-a-cop will likely not attempt to stop someone riding a bike out.
