I know you got him, but you have to be careful with how you word things. Just states the facts and your golden.

Don't call him a lier or thief, just state he has not delievered on the goods as promised, and the he went against his word by saying the it was going to be shipped in a timely manner and made no effort to contact you when he did not.

Keep us up to date on it.

Speedemon it sucks that people act like that on the net. I just sold something to someone on another forum for x amount, the guy got it polished up and is reselling it. Boils my blood since he was adamant about getting it to put on his ride.
Now from you and I talking about the parts I am looking for. I get the impression you are just a young man. Use this as a learning experience.
I have been burned about 6 times and each one I learn from and hope it doesn't happen again.
Most importantly, as others have mentioned, DO NOT SLANDER the ASSHAT! You would be surprised how quickly what you say can get your wallet in a pinch! Or worse yet behind bars! I ran my mouth in front of a cop that was undercover and almost got tossed in jail for intimidation. I had the guy dead to rights but made the mistake of saying" If you don't give me the money you owe me...I'll beat you to within an inch of your life!" I was 20 when I said that.
I still speak my mind, but think about what I am going to say!

To your situation, if the guy you talked to checks the licenses of the electricians, plumbers or whatever trade, ask if the guy is a union guy. If so find out what local he belongs to. Give that local hall a call and tell them about it. They just might be able to hold him accountable!

But as stated in previous posts.......keep it factial and rational! You will get better results with kindness!

Talking

He FINALLY refunded my money last night! I'm sooo happy! Even if it took forever.. He told me that he was very very very sorry. Seems like he was hurting for money.. Maybe he had lots of loans/credit card bills..? He told my mom he is going to send me a gift for all the trouble we went though. I'm thinking it'll be the exhaust! So everything is straightened out now! Thanks for the support and words of wisdom guys! It paid off! Literally
