They used to call it "Weather prediction", but that some how has been dropped.
I still think that looking out the window gives you a pretty good idea of what going on.
Also found that the time it is guaranteed to rain, is the day you leave your wet weather gear at home.
+1 for being let down by what they say is going to happen, when I did my long haul commute, got caught out so many times & the 80 kay trip home was miserable when it rained. By the time you think "Maybe I should pull over & get suited up" & actually doing it, your soaked to the skin anyway & putting on wet weather when your already wet is pretty hard.
Nothing worse than sweating on a week end run that you have been hanging out to do, weather man says "Fine" the night before & you wake up with grey sky's. You just want to punch their happy smiling condescending lights out.
