anyone else hate the weather man???

i swear to god its the only job you can have, be wrong 100% of the time and still have a job.

i checked the weather before i went to the gym, it said 20% chance of a thunderstorm after 1am, its only 7pm and sunny out, so i say screw it ill ride the bike to the gym, i get out of the gym its terential downpour/lightning/thunder i have a 20 minute ride home in the pouring rain.

god i hate the weather people.

Welcome to the club.

It is actually kind of funny too that they get it wrong a lot. I am starting to notice that the phrase "chance of" is being used a lot instead of just giving the forecast as expected to reduce the amount of being wrong.

Didn't John Bolaris (of NBC 10 at the time) have a really big wrong prediction about the "Storm of the Century" a few years back in Philadelphia that caused the state (PA) to utilize like 60% of its snow preparedness workforce to be ready for a storm that didn't hit?

I think that had a lot to do with why he left NBC 10 shortly after 9-11.

yea im used to it, im a landscaper and keep a close eye on the weather, maybe thats why i notice it lot more then most because my job depends on the weather. sucks even worse when its winter and they are forcasting snow storms, they are usually 100% wronf with forcasting snow.

Yeah, we had a 30% chance a month ago and scattered showers were on the forcast. Then 5 minutes before class gets out it starts pouring, when I left school there was standing water on the roads, sometimes 2+ feet deep. That was a hell of a wet ride home :icon_teeth:.

its funny i never used to care about the weather but ever since i started riding i started to notice ambient temp changes , cloud formations hell even the smell/feel of water in the air.. maybe more meteoroligists (sp?) should ride motorcycles, then they might actually get it right haha

I have not trusted the weatherman for many years. The last time I did I was caught in a "SURPRISE" snow storm in the spring and crashed. That was almost 23 years ago.
