Congrats! Even if it isn't a CBR we still need to see pics Personally, I would've recommended a turbo Busa but I guess the 250 will do
Best of luck to ya and feel free to stick around CBRF ... especially if you feel like going out and riding stupid. These guys will put you on the right path grasshoppa ...

So classic, you'd say that someone who's never driven a car before would be safer learning to drive a 600 hp viper than a 100 hp accord due to the fact that the viper will have better brakes and more power to get the driver out of trouble if he gets into it? Man I wish I would have known that back when I got my first car.
could you exaggerate it any more ??
If you had of read all of my posts , you might notice I said what " I " would prefer..
I not once told him what to buy ..
Just a few basic facts was all I was giving ...

Excellent choice! I have owned several litre bikes, my current one is a beast and love to track it, but I am seriously thinking about a small 2 stroker just for the track. I used to flog a Yamaha rd 350 and I might just do it again. After some time in on the Ninja you can sell it in a flash or better yet take it to the track and learn how ro really ride. It is an awesome little track bike. THe track will make you a better street rider, and make you go slower on the street. We have more than enough squids there now.
The faster I go on the track the slower I go on the street.
That was funny Hangfire, but I differ slightly on your advice. I think every 16 year old should start with a little older car to learn how to drive, say a Porshe 935 twin turbo. Great starter car.
