stolen bike question

Default stolen bike question

How do you know if the parts you are buying are stolen? Someone told me that the frame has a vin number and the engine does too. Short of that...how do you know. A guy wants to trade me a 1000 engine for my engine out of my f4i that im parting out. How do I check if the engine is clean???

it should have the serial number engraved somewhere just look it over im not sure. All of my dirt bike motors have it engraved right below the one cylinderon a four cylinder im not sure but it has to be somewhere look it over

Hello & Welcome!!

There are many secret VIN #'s all over...the frame would have one, as well as the engine.
