Default Newbie from RI! Finally getting my CBR Today

hello all,

Finally bringing my 04 CBR600rr home tonight after work. I think I got a good deal on an electric blue 8k miles MINT Can't wait! I'm a hardcore Honda enthusiast and can't wait to learn and soak in the knowledge here!

I'm 25 Yrs old. Always wanted a bike but didn't take the plunge until This year. I decided I was old enough, mature enough and did hours of research. I decided to go at it. Took my MSF course. Got my permit and then License and have loved the experience so far. Looking forward to many years of riding ahead.

Will try to post pics tonight or tomorrow.

Welcome to CBRF Piston!
Nice to hear you've taken the right steps in getting started riding.
Good luck with the 600RR and post up some pics when you can

Welcome to the board! Sounds like you've got your ducks in a row and can handle the responsibility that a 600RR throttle needs. Post up the pics when you get a chance ... we're all about the mods here

Thanks for the warm welcome guys. I tend to like doing things the right way. I had it trailered home and then sat on it for like 20 minutes going over all the controls before I triple checked that the clutch was in, in Neutral, and brake covered. I fired it up and started playing with the throttle and "feeling it" until I finally pulled out of the driveway.

The stance was intimidating at first but I got the hang of it. I took it around the block and took it to just 7k but wow great throttle response! It's hard to explain but I felt free as a bird out on the cool night. No sensation like it. I have much respect for the machine and plan on taking pics as soon as I get out of work. I am in LOVE with it!

It has 8,056 miles, I'm the third owner, swing arm spools, Tire hugger, Chrome wheels, Yoshimura RS-5 slip on, Mint condition. More pics coming.

All paperwork! including receipt from the dealer when originally purchased and all oil changes and maintenance, owner manuals. Guy had to sell because he had 16 speeding violations and his insurance was rocket high and he needed the cash for court fees.

Here is a pic of it at the sellers home.
