New Rider, New Bike
Bought a 2018 CBR600RR with ABS and of course the afterthought hit me, there's not many aftermarket parts yet. I am having trouble finding the "no cut" frame sliders. I really don't want to cut into brand new fairings but I figure a small hole is better than a totaled bike. Advice?
Frame sliders will not keep you from totaling the bike. They are only good if it falls of the stand. In a hard enough hit, they can cause damage by breaking the engine case.
Your best bet is to protect yourself with a complete set of quality gear and focus on riding skills.

I have all my gear and protection for my body, I mainly meant in case I have a slide going around a corner in town or a neighborhood. I don't act like a jackass on or abuse it so by crash I meant slide or fall or a low speed incident.
Plastic and paint can be expensive to replace or repair so personally I see no harm in adding them to protect your new ride. My friend binned his nice new repsol on a track day and after seeing his on board footage, was surprised at how well his performed protecting everything. Admittedly they were totally worn away but it’s core structure remained intact.
Under his circumstances, they did their job but it’s not always the case. In other drop circumstances you could get no benifit at all.
Enjoy your new ride mate.
