Hello everyone. My name is Jenn......i have a 2001 cbr f4i. My question that seems to be quite hard to answer by any of my local riding friends is... will a solo seat for a 2002 cbr600rr fit onto my 2001 f4i? As im assuming most of you know already, my f4i is the year that has the two separate seats. I know that my bike and the rr share alot of the same parts, however i cant find this answer. i finally found a solo seat thats in my price range but its for an 02 rr (fyi all parts for my year also fit 2001-2004) anyone know if this seat will fit? HELP!

pretty sure there arent many parts that are compatible for the f4i and the RR.
there is no 02 rr only 03+, from looking at the pictures of RR seats from what i can see, i dont think it will fit.
i dont see the piece on the front that is going to rest on the tank mount on the RR seats, also the subframes are way different, but who knows.
going by the logic of making money, people would be selling seats that fit the f4i and the RR if they were interchangable.
there is a whole f4i seat for 50 bucks on ebay.

Hi Jenn. Welcome to CBRF! As far as your question goes... are you wanting to put a 600rr tail on your F4i?
Like this?
It's going to take modifications, it will not be a direct fit (plug-n-play). But you can make anything fit as long as you have the skills or know someone with the skills.
Or are you wanting to put the banana seat on your F4i from newer years?

Hello,
As far as bolt on goes, you are out of luck. As illustrated in these 2 pictures....
RR
2003 Honda CBR600RR A SEAT | Babbitts Honda Parts House
F4i
2002 Honda CBR600F4 A SEAT ('01-'03) | Babbitts Honda Parts House
The mouting bolts are different. (Would need modification)
You can see they are different shapes as well. (What Rudy said)
Are you meaning you would like the rear seat gone? As in solo seat?
Or do you mean the rider seat in general?
Rear seat gone you could always get an aftermarket cover, I think targa makes them, probably others, to cover the rear seat to achieve a "single" seat.
If you are referring to a simple swap then as stated above, not a direct fit.
Welcome to the forum though! Plenty of info here for whatever you could desire.
Edit: That targa seat cover
