New Member, with a good 97 CBR 600 F3 Streetfighter Project :D!!!
Hi all, my names Connor from Central New York State! Just managed to get my hands on a 1997 Honda CBR 600 F3, in great shape with all plastics. But I have some plans for this guy. I'd like to make it a streetfighter/stunt bike. I have plans for it and drawn up how i want things to look, but I could use some tips and ideas. Id like to do an 01 R1 tail swap, but i was wondering if I have to get an R1 seat as well? And what modifications would i have to do to the bike? Thats my main concern, other than that, chain sprockets, lsl handlebar kit, and a different headlight are in due order. Thanks for all the ideas!

Welcome to CBRF! It's great to have another fighter-er here!
As far as your question goes, why wouldn't you want to use an R1 seat? You'll need a seat (obviously) and I'm sure you won't be able to fit your banana seat with the R1 tail... Since the F3 is a steel frame, you'll have to cut and modify your sub-frame for those fairings to fit correctly. You should google image search some R1's with the tail section removed so you can see what angles the subframe makes on that bike and how the tail mounts to it. That will give you an idea of how much work you're looking at.
Fightering a bike out is addictive - set up a build thread in the SF section so we can see your progress!
Good luck - I'm looking forward to seeing it!
