Talk to your teacher. Maybe he can convince his friend that you resurrected a piece of junk and he should sell the bike to you for a lot less than that, or at least give you part of the sale money towards another bike. Without your work, he still would have a $100 pile of parts.

I'd be pretty upset if one of my friends took advantage of one of my students, if I was a teacher.

 

Yeah man. Student doesn't mean free labor. I'm sure your principal would love to hear about your shop teacher having one of his friends get free work done from his students.

Just because you're a student, doesn't mean you don't have rights man. You're young, and maybe haven't learned the extent in which people will try to take advantage of you yet.

 

Yeah im gonna next time im on the technical rotation in school but i dont think itll change much because the guy is kindof a douche. And it was never a point that he had to sell it to me or give it to me. It was more so my senior project. The guy that owns the bike has 15 that hes crashed, broken, or blown up. then added to the one he just bought last season that isnt crashed yet. and he hinted at me that id get it, Then changed his mind once he saw how i had it running. I guess he didnt id makes it run after it laying cracked up on his garage floor for 10 years.. But #2 in the state for working on motorcycles at the highschool level will do that i guess i just wish i could figure out how to upload my dyno video..
