Default Moto insurance doesn't cover your Medical

I was in an accident over this Memorial Day weekend. Guy was stopped on the road, waved me around, then decided to make a left turn anyway. I hit the brakes but the bike flipped up and landed on the back of his car (and my leg). I am just finding out one month later that all of my own medical bills are NOT covered by my insurance. I have GEICO basic liability (with a used 600 F4i) so I didn't think collision was worth it. But I am shocked to find out that all the medical bills I've accumulated are my responsibility. And of course my insurance considers it my fault (the guy ain't admitting to waving me around or being stopped). LuckyI have my own health insurance. Just wanted to share my shock (and disappointment). Ride safe.

With Liability Only and you are deemed "At fault" nothing of yours is covered...bike, body, personal property etc. Sorry to hear about your misfortune. Heal up quick and get back out there.

i know the feeling.. i was recently in an accident and had liability. the guy took off and not even my buddies got a chance to catch up to him b/c they were busy trying to stop traffic to make sure i didn't get run over. luckily i'm a veteran so i'm covered with military medical coverage from the veteran affairs hospital.. if i didn't have that, i'd be screwed.... really screwed..
