What all does full coverage insurance cover
I have never had to use my insurance, but i still owe money on my bike so I have to have full coverage. So does my truck. I have state farm, so it's pretty cheap.
What I am wondering is does insurance cover mechanical failure, say, my engine throws a rod or something like that? Or would it only cover an accident? Also I believe when carrying someing it the bed of my truck it is covered under my trucks insurance, is there something like this for motorcycle. I will probably be getting a laptop soon and carting it to school and back alot. So if something horrible was to happen, I still want the ability to poop on my command.
If anyone has some sort of knowledge please post. If not you can post anyways. Sorry for another insurance post, but at least its not about a rattling CCT.

Insurance does NOT cover any mechanical failures. The factory warranty/extended warranty covers that sort of stuff.
Insurance for cars/bikes covers any number of things, so you'd have to call on the laptop thing. The only thing my insurance covered (state farm) on the bike when I crashed several months ago was full price of the helmet. You can probably add in a policy to the bike for your laptop, but call your agent to be sure.

+1 to Dwight. All insurance policies are not made the same, full covergae or otherwise. You have to make sure you are covered for all the things you need. Make sure to go over everything with your agent.
No mechanical failure like stated before:
Full - Liablity, Theft, Vandalism, Crashes, etc
Comprehensive - Theft, Vandalism, Liability
Liablitly - Name explains it
