Yep, $2500 would be a good bit too much for a salvage F3 around here. I'd either talk them down or keep looking.
Just my opinion, though, and I don't know what the market is like where you are. However, patience is a virtue.

I took a look around, and you're right about it being pretty dry around your area as far as bikes go.
I would check out http://craiglook.com/ and search by your zip code to look through all the craigslist ads.

There is an '02 F4i someone is trying to sell for $3500. It has about the same mileage. It says it's like 120miles away from your zip, though. But if you could talk him down a bit, and it looks ok, it certainly has much more potential over a salvaged F3.

Also, there's another F3 with 19k miles and he was asking $2,200, but it didn't sell. He says he's accepting offers now. Maybe something there? Closer to you.

wow yea thank you so much haha its like you snapped me outta that bad deal i might go get my deposit back tomorrow. now that you showed me that craiglook site, im finding a lot more options. i might actually be going to baton rouge tomorrow so ill call that guy to see if i can stop by. thanks, ill keep you guys posted.
