Hello from wet and windy Dorset (UK)
Lovely summer weather, raining cats and dogs. I'm Chris.
I got an old 92 CBR600FM (had for 5 years) and it still works and looks good, so no need to trade it in just yet.
Just go a job with 150 daily commute (rude mugs is a side line), so the CBR's mileage is gonna start racking up.
Also have a TTR250 Yam and a V6 Galant for carrying the family round in.
Looking for advice on best way to carry a laptop in bad weather. Common sense says a top box, but I'm not sure I'm old enough for that.
Anyone suggest anyhting better or got a rack for 92 CBR they wanna sell me nice and cheap?
Been riding 25 years on the road, on a variety of old mails, 3 x 350LC's, RG250, XJ650, GPz1100, CBR and few others I don't care to admit too.
Cheers

Welcome to CBRF Chris!! Be sure to post up a pic of your F2 when you get the chance. I have a '92 F2 myself and I'm always very curious as to how others are keeping their's up.
A 150 mile commute, that's nearly a tank a day!! I guess if you have to do it, at least the bike will make it far more enjoyable for you. Take care and enjoy the forums.
PS - When it rains, I usually carry my laptop in a big container with 4-wheels and a roof, but I'm a big softy. :-P

Welcome
Giday Chris...welcome to the CBRF mate ..
Yer the dam weather is whacko , thats for sure .....think its getting worse or stranger each year right around the world ..
We are dying of thirst in winter and you guys are drowning in summer?? go figure ?
Your 600 still looks like a ripper mate ... they are great solid rides that as you know seem to last for bloody ever ..
Best way to carry a lap top..? ... use your car ...lol
I recon you figured it out already mate ....a rear top box prolly is the best , although I personally do not like them ...
Yu could just get a nice light sealed plastic container and whack the lap top in it and then just carry it in your back pack if you have one .....would be allot cheaper than a rear rack and bag .
BTW : Need any help around here just PM me :-)
Some fast find links are below mate ....use them with my compliments ..
