Windy day
So after i long night of storms the rain dried up so i thought id give riding a shot to the mall where my Girlfriend 7.0
was at... And before i knew it 40-60 mph gust where throwing me around Grr.. Eventually i ended up driving in the middle of the road waiting for the gust to throw me to the outside to the point i had the bike turning into the wind.. which brings me to the point.
How do everyone drive in the wind?
I find it fun, but sometimes alarming when the gust catch you off gaurd

Dude...wind blows!
A motorcycle doesn't cut through the wind like a car, we are more like a brick instead of a surgical tool slicing through the wind. You have to lean into the wind, but at some point you should not be on the road! 60 mph gusts...no thanks.

Its rare here we have a day of less than 5mph winds, 15-20 is the norm really... I cant say I enjoy those at all, much less if I feel stupid and go out when its 30mph+ This past spring I was out on a day like that and it made me not want to ride for awhile (like 10 or 12 hours)
wind is the main reason i hate riding on the freeways here. the wind facot is so prevalent that it just beats me up. like when you have 15-25 mph winds + big *** semis flyings past you, and your already doing 75mph it can really wear you out. ill ride in the wind as long as it doesnt get to crazy .. because when im stuntin down the road in my crisp white T , the wind really messes up my hair! (incase ya'll didnt catch that i was joking lol)
"Wind" itself usually isn't a huge problem for me, but the blowing dust is what I can't stand. It was blowing pretty hard a couple days ago, and I found it amusing, until the dust starts blowing. You can hear all the "tinks" on your helmet, then the roads get VERY slippery from all the dirt. Worst part was tumbleweeds. I hit a HUGE one. Yeah, it obliterated on impact. I don't mind hitting them in my beater car, but NOT my pretty, shiny bike. Didn't scratch up the bike at all, but damn was it frightening seeing that huge thing blow into my path.
(and no, I wasn't out just riding around, trying to get home from work).
