Default Hello from Dorset, UK

Hi all,

Just signed up as I now have 2 '87 CBR1000f's. Difficulty I have is deciding which will become the donor as they are both runners. Needless to say plastics need work on either of them.

I guess I'll be spending most of my time in the Hurricane section!

I'll sort a sig out and get some pics up when it stops raining but thought I'd drop by and say hello.

John

2 1000fs? You lucky dog. You will make some here a little jealous...

Pull up a chair, pour yourself a cold one, and enjoy the community!

Welcome to the forum... but why send one to the slaughter? Why not just have two CBR1000F's?

Indeedy, you can never have too many

Welcome to the CBR Forum Klekid.

Lots of members with rebuilding experience on the forum with CBR1KFs so ask any questions you need.

See you in the Hurricane Saloon

Cheers, SB

I'm looking to swap parts out to get one on the road fast then I will more than likely do a rebuild on the donor as I'll know which parts I need to source.

Just don't tell the wife guys!

1) Rebuild the donor.
2) Repaint the donor in the wife's fave colour.
3) Tell the wife that the donor is a present for her that you have slaved over.
4) Become a CBR1000F rider couple.
5) Happily ever after.

You know it makes sense!

Or if she doesn't want it, I'll have it
