What is the CBR 929RE Erion and why am I have such a hard time finding info on it? Also, what is the difference between the RR and the RE?

 

Erion was a race edition model like the Repsol...

 

Erion makes Honda specific exhausts right? im sure they've branched out to other models by now though.

 

Does that mean that the only difference between a 929 and a 929 Erion is the paint or do they have other mods?

 

To my limited knowledge of race replicas, they are all just paint/decal schemes for the most part. A few extras here and there, but nothing major. This is the first year I know of that anyone (Yamaha 2006 YZF-R1 LE) has added things like a back torque-limiting slipper clutch, aluminum Marchesini wheels and comes stock with 183 ponies. You can tell the big difference in race replicas and race modded bikes... the Repsol MSRP is $11,799 and the normal 1000RR is still $11,299. A big $500 difference while the YZF-R1 LE is $18,000 and the YZF-R1 is only $11,599.
