I'm Adam from the UK and last year decided it was time i got my bike test done, so for the second time i done my CBT and moved on to my tests. After passing i rushed out and bought myself a cheep SV650 modded and street fightered this bike was definitely a one of. It wasn't long before i realised that i may not be a Suzuki, street-fighter or custom type of rider, from the overly loud exhaust that made my ears ring for an hour after riding and the solid board covered in foam they call a seat, this bike was not comfy. so after 3 months of passing my test and getting a bike i was already bike less. After dreaming of R1's and CBR 1000RR's and having a few insurance company's laugh at me i thought it best i start to look at something a little more realistic, which brings me to where i am now. Yesterday i went and looked and without even test riding bought myself a 1999 CBR 600F. For the small amount of £1250 with an extra exhaust and a set of new tyres thrown in i was now the owner of my new toy. And now i am in love with this bike, don't get me wrong 22 years old and for £1250 this bike need some attention but the ride is smooth and it pulls like a train. I have uploaded a picture of my new pride and joy please let me know what you think good or bad i don't mind.
I'm sure in the very near future i will have lots of questions especially as i start to tinker. I look forward to getting to know as many of you as i can and you never know even meet up for a ride with some of the UK members. "Ride safe and Have fun"

Welcome,
is the UK so ridiculous with insurance prices when having something close to a 1000cc's?
When I got m license as a 30 year old i could insure my 2003 fireblade for about €90,- a year.
In perspective I pay for my 3.0 diesel with 245hp €680 insurance a year.
