hi everyone well thanks for allowing me to join this forum, I have had many different bikes through my life im 62 now, all been well I will be taking delivery of a CBR600 F2 in the next couple of weeks, my younger brother is giving it to me,he is having 2 new tyres put on it and oil service, then its mine.
well I have generally had bikes with only half the pony's the cbr has, my last bike was a Kawasaki en500 cruiser, i did have an old Yamaha Genesis 400 before that, but generally not had a sports bike, so I will just take it steady at first, i may have to get it lowered yet as at 5.5 I'm not the tallest person.
Putting all that aside im looking forward to getting the bike and also gaining lots of info from this forum, 1993 cbr600
Welcome! There is a ton of info here so if that's what you are looking for, you came to the right place!
thanks a million, its great to be getting back on a bike, there has been a little set back,im getting the bike from my younger brother, he bought it off ebay when drunk lol, he realised later it wasn't for him, he took the bike in to a workshop for a rear tyre, the guy in the shop found a few things with it,its having 2 new tyres fitted, one of the chain adjusters is bent and a crack in the frame, the guy said he can do it all and he's going to give it oil and filter change and check it all out, hopefully I should have it next Thursday, my brother won't take any money from me for it, so he is paying for all the repairs and is going to pay a guy to deliver it to me,

Wow, that's nice! Just be aware that almost all 600 sports bikes are very dual-natured, i.e. quite docile below 7-8k, goes like a bat outta hell above that! Not embarrassed to admit that there were more than a few times I felt like I was going to slide off the back of the seat after a bit too much throttle...
