Hey All,

Names Martin, most people call me Mouse (Oddly not an ears thing).
Just pasted my CBT and bought a CBR 125r 2006 model.
Seller took amazing care of it - flew past its 17,000 MOT no warnings or anything.

My plan is to refine my riding skills and maybe try to replace the lights with LED's to save its ikkle battery .... for heated grips

*Heads to the tech forum to ask for advice on that*

Welcome to the CBR Forum Martin and congratulations on passing your test.

I have grown to love the little CB125e I have ridden around Vietnam over the last 4 weeks - not as sporting as yours but a very capable little bike.

So, any questions you have, ask away. We're here to help. I'm sure someone will have the answers you need for the LED light replacement. Keeping your hands warm if you plan to ride in the cold weather can be VERY important

Wear your safety gear, and keep the shiny side up!

Cheers, SB

Welcome to the forums! Man all you guys with the CB/CBR 125s make me jealous. something about small displacement bikes make me think they'd be fun as all get out to ride.

Welcome Martin...errr mouse.
Those 125s, I hear, are fun little bikes. Here in the states we don't have them, we have the 250. Congrats on passing the test and coming to the two wheeled side of life.

Hi Mouse! Great choice in bike there! (I am biased, lol)

That sounds like a top notch idea. I had the battery out of mine the other day and was gobsmacked by how tiny it was. LED lights and heated grips sounds like genius!

Let me know how you get on with that little project. I might just have a bash at it if I feel brave

Welcome to CBRF Martin/Mouse! ;-)

Congrats on your bike & passing your test. Looks like a nice bike too.

Heated grips were just being discussed in a thread the other day. For cold WX, they really help a lot. They are a pretty easy install as well.

Good to have you w/ us. Settle in & enjoy!

Welcome Mouse and bburke88,

i'm new to the forum, riding and only passed my CBT 6 months ago. Got the 125r. I must admit, it is great around town, the bike is narrow enough to squeeze through traffic but also has a good punch off the lights!!!

I'm very interested in your idea with the LED's and heated grips. One question about the LED's. Which lights are you thinking of replacing?

PS I have a 2007 model, 3500 miles.

Cheers.

Thanks for the welcomes!
I'm looking at the Xenon bulbs atm, someone said they might be a massive improvement over the stock bulbs .... which are currently VERY yellow and dim.

Yes, upgraded bulbs can really make a dif. I replaced my OEM bulbs w/ CandlePower white bulbs & they make a huge dif.
