So, anybody have experience with making knee pad positions in pants work when you have an inseam of about 28"? Have you had things professionally tailored post-purchase, or done it yourself, or?

I got the Stella Cat pants from Alpinestar; they fit beautifully except that the knee pads are shin pads on my short legs I think this is going to be the case with 99% of the pants out there, so I wanted to see about altering them myself somehow.
