Drinking coffee right now, just started the chimney starter on my little smokey joe smoker conversion! 9 degrees F out there this am but the old bike shed is getting toasty, should be a good day. I dry rubbed some pork butt last night with a Memphis style dry rub and she's ready to go.

I'm sure I'll be indulging in my latest Belgian Pale ale later today... I did 10 gal a couple weeks ago to kick up yeast for a big-boy batch. Now I have a very angry 45 gal chugging in the basement! Had to clean up a little excess this morning

This is what I've been drinkin' lately. Had a few last night.

 

Pulled my bottle of Crown Royal out of the freezer and I'm enjoying a few very cold shots, along with a Blue Moon.

 

Small world indeed! What part of Munster? I'm right on the state line around 169th.

Last year I wound up talking to a dude on another forum who used to fly helicopters out of Lansing airport back in the '70s, he also grew up in Hammond not far from me. I wound up getting a free nights stay at his place down in Alabama when I was on a solo motorcycle tour of the deep south. Amazing the characters you can meet out there...

I used to live in Somerset off of White Oak (off 45th). On the other side of 80 - but not too far away at all.

 

Jamesons 12 straight up. Just wish I had a nice stout or porter to go with it.

 

Ice coffee + Bacardi oakheart. Surprisingly good!

 

Just got back form Cuba, sitting on the beach drinking rum and mango juice

 

Cappuccino out of a machine yet again.

I'm back at work so no alcohol allowed for the next 2 weeks.
