never tried a bottled (blended) Black & Tan.
(also not a fan of Guinness in a can - just not the same.)
do like them on tap tho.

always thought the reason you don't order B&T's in Ireland is because Bass is an English beer until I was schooled on the subject.
From Wikipedia:
The Black and Tans (Irish: Dúchrónaigh)[1] were men from Great Britain who joined the Royal Irish Constabulary (RIC) as Temporary Constables during the Irish War of Independence.[2] They were the brainchild of Winston Churchill, then British Secretary of State for War.[3] Thousands, many of them British World War I veterans, answered the British Government's call for recruits. Their role was to help the RIC maintain order and fight the Irish Republican Army (IRA); the army of the Irish Republic. The nickname "Black and Tans" arose from the colour of the improvised khaki uniforms they initially wore. The Black and Tans became infamous for their attacks on civilians and civilian property.
Irish equivalent,
Half & Half - Guinness and Harp.

are they served blended in Ireland, or is this just a pic taken by someone who was told to take a pic with a full glass?

Some treats from a local microbrewery

An interesting combination, bottle conditioned hopback American double bock full malt lager, 8%. Has a bit of a bite to it.

Sprock: just the other day there was a program on the telly here called "undercover boss" or something in that direction, about the Molson brewery. Was it any good? Sure would like to have a taste of that some day, they don't import Molson brews here.
Me, a tap coke with a hotdog on a parts-gathering trip on my way back to the truck depot to fix an air leak from my tool...

Jeez! I drinking a cup of tea as I'm getting ready to pull a 12 hour night shift. In the morning I get out at 7am but I don't think I can buy beer until 11:00am here in SC.
When I get out I have to head straight to bed without a brew. I need to plan better.
I knew I shouldn't have come in here poking around, now I bummed.
