Suomenlinnan Panimon (Suomenlinna-castle`s Brewery) Helsinki-Porter.

Very good, not too burnt but well roasted. A little thin tail but it`s "only" 5,6%



Anyone who knows good beer recognises that logo, The Nøgne Ø. A small Norwegian microbrewery. They produce the most expensive beers on sale in Finland, and availability is very poor and depending on the season at hand.

Today on the pint, The Imperial Stout. Imperial in every way. Pitch black, 9%, very, very strong taste, long thick tail, what`s not to like...

BTW; "page not found" error comes when I open that link.

BTW2; what do you have to pay for one? If I recall right that particular bottle I`m currently destroying cost around 8;90EUR.

 

BTW3; I threw an email to the brewery after finding out from their website they sell a brew kit for my favourite beer, the #100. Turned out getting that kit to Finland after the taxes on both countries it would cost a little over 90EUR!

That particular beer is no longer available in Finland which is a crying shame, When I heard it`s going out I managed to get my hands on two bottles as all the beer enthusiasts in the country stocked up what they could scrape up, I still have one bottle in the cellar awaiting to celebrate for my firstborn baby coming in the end of april.

 

Rockstar Enegry Cola + The Balvenie Doublewood -whisky. Works surprisingly well.

 

I remember the first time I had redbull and jagermeister. People kept buying them for me, so I drank them. I think I had 9 before I realized that it wasn't such a good idea.

 

Ouch, bad idea. the "jekkubattery" is a well known drink in bars here, pretty good tasting too but not smart to drink over one or two in a night. I usually only do that

1) at home

2) when I need a little jolt while boozing (it`s currently 3:01am here)
