Wrap a tiestrap/zipstrap/cable tie around the battery lengthways and leave a little slack - put fingers in the slack and pull up, and battery comes out cleanly every time. Simple fix ................
I was sick of crunching my fingers...................
Oh and it's around 30C ATM, raining................only about 80 K's though, maybe tomorrow the sun will be out AND I HOPE IT'S NOT TOO HOT TO RIDE..........................HEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHE
As for the lower fairings, just bolt them together with two short straps - much better system (my belly fairings use to rattle - not any more)

Stuff That Could Be Better:
The forks are crap...they're too small, and they aren't adjustable. Cudos for at least having cartridges instead of damping rods.
Linked brakes are too complicated, and render the rear brake pedal almost useless...would rather not have them (granted I coulda got an earlier bike w/o them).
Too much engine vibration coming through the seat (I wonder if the jewel-like 1100xx motor bolts in...)
It needs a bigger radiator
Like every bike, the horn is silly.
Would love to have hazard lights.
In stock form, the bars are too low and to far away, but about 2" each.
Alternator is too wimpy for aux. gear
I think that's about it. It's a great bike, and really is a superb all-arounder. The only item on my list that really matters to me is how crappy the forks are. It's really a sore-thumb on an otherwise great bike.
