Welcome to the CBR forum.

Lots of active, knowledgeable guys and gals inhabit the forum, and we love to keep the old girls on the road, so ask any questions you need - or feel free to impart any knowledge you have!

Good to see you posting away Kevin - and welcome to the fun part of the forum

Now, I believe you bought the silver '87/88? Would you be able to take a photo of the seat with and without the seat cowl fitted? Please. And detail how it is secured. I saw you asked about the Ride Of The Month (ROTM), that's a rite of passage (or so I was told by a certain Mr Sprock ) for all new members on the forum. The CBR1000F is a grand old girl and we had a winning run of 5 months with CBR1000Fs taking out the ROTM. So you may become part of that!

Cheers, SB

Unhappy I think i might have to sell :(

HI LADS

UNFORTUNATLY I HAVE HAD SOME MAJOR FAMILY MISFORTUNE AND REGRETABLY UNLESS THINGS CHANGE DRAMATICALLY VERY SOON I MAY BE FORCED TO SELL THE BIKE I TAUGHT ID HAVE FOREVER.

I DONT EVEN KNOW WHERE TO START OR WHAT TO ASK FOR IT OBVIOUSLY ITS WORTH A LOT MORE TO ME THAN STREET VALUE BUT ANY IDEAS WHAT I SHOULD REALISTICALLY GET FOR IT AND BEST SITES TO SELL IT ON .

I WOULD LOVE TO SEE THIS GO TO A LONG TIME HURRICANE ENTHUSIAST

Sorry to hear of the troubles and I hope they do resolve quickly and you aren't forced to sell. Bikes go for what you can get for them - but a tidy, low km Mark 2 CBR1000F down under will go for $2,500 to $3,500 AUD.

Being that your bike is the much rarer Mark 1 CBR750F there may be a premium? Very hard to say.

Cheers, SB
