How NOT to repair a fuel tank !!
It must have been a Blackbird rider....

Seriously, though, what a clown!!
I know of a guy who tried to weld a methanol barrel once. It exploded the barrel (split it) and shot it out of the bed of the truck. lol.. (luckily he was ok for the most part..)
You know, it's easy enough to set fires when welding, even if you don't surround yourself with flammable liquids..
What an idiot..
The only thing about the story that doesn't add up is the toilet thing... I don't see how it exploded...
Same with the floor drain. I mean, the drain explosion is less of a stretch... I work with methane onsite all the time, and it's no joke.... but conditions have to be pretty good to blow up a sewer..

The world is full of people with some pretty ordinary intelligence ..
By Yodalis Bethancourt for La Critica - A 76 year-old man died as a result of an explosion in the bathroom of his house in La Chorrera, in the Republic of Panama. José Luis Girón sprinkled gasoline inside of his toilet, intending to light a small fire in order to eliminate the bad odors emanating from the inadequate plumbing. But the combination of gases from the sewer system, the gasoline Girón had poured down the toilet, as well as the fecal material in the bowl resulted in a huge explosion which destroyed the toilet and sent Girón flying. He later died in the Santo Tomás hospital as a result of injuries sustained.
