Got pics?

Bondo isnt hard to work with. Use the right amount of hardner and work it down while its the consistancy of cheese then let it stand to harden and finish it out. Remove excess with 80 grit then finish out the sanding marks with 160 / 240 grit. Patience is a virtue with body work.

I used bondo on my tank, and it popped off (or rather, it came loose and I pulled it off).

If you have big dents, you're better off getting them pulled out.

OTOH, smaller dents are basically OK, IF you prime and sand the surface first.

Just a warning, I SUCK at body work (I haven't done a decent paint job in my life, but I've done plenty of bad ones).

Yeah, I was too cheap to buy Gold... also, I tried to apply it on sanded stickers (I didn't have a strong enough wire wheel at the time).

Also, note to self: don't try to repair fairings with Bondo. You're better off just zip-tieing them or using expoxy (or, plastic welding if you've got the $ for the tool).

hahah yea I dont even use epoxy on my fairing...I do fiberglass or bondo putty....bondo putty is great for small rash...for any deep rash that really takes away from the shape I use fiberglass resin. So far my methods for this have been pretty successful, the next thing I would like to learn how to do is carbon fiber...once I get my F4i tail done I may try to cover it in CF and also make a Cf solo seat cowl for it...I am debating making a shell for my tank and using epoxy on it..but I am still warming up to that much carbon lol

Well, it's ok for rash and gashes, but not for cracks, since it's not flexible.
