The rear had already been done, the front I have is to match the rear, sorry if this has confused any one.
I'm still confused then Alan, as the later Mark 2 and Mark 3 CBR1000F wheels still had the 6004 bearings.

What is the 'new' front wheel from?

Cheers, SB

It is supposed to be off a cbr1000f it looks like its off a cbr1000f, looked at others on fleabay and they are identical, only thing I can think of is there is supposed to be a steel liner in the hole but not seen what it's supposed to look like before.
May be some one knocked them out by accident, who knows!

Hi, I am changing my tires and bearings on my 1996 CBR1000F. Anybody have the original link that works so I can learn how to do it? Also, EXACTLY, which bearings do I buy? I am looking for quality and lasting bearings.

thanks,
JC

Parts listed here: https://www.ronayers.com/oemparts/a/...27/front-wheel

Be sure you've got spacer #6 inside wheel between bearings.

As mentioned earlier, quality bearings from NSK, SKF, ***, etc. will work great.

Thanks! Ok, so I bought the following: SKF (2) 6304-2rsh/c3, (2) 6004-2rsh/c3 and (1) 6305-2rs1/c3.

Is there anything else I should be buying to do it right? I really don’t want to deal with the bearings for a long while. All this starting because I can’t get the tires back on and might as well do the bearings.

is there a working link to the bearings how to? I really don’t know what I am doing.

I did buy the 190 back tire and will put pics up when I get it running.

thanks!

Here's pages from older manual:

Bearing installer kit Bearing installer kit

Remember to only press on bearing's outer-race to install, never on inner race. I'm not that comfortable with hammering in bearings. So I use long through-bolt and pull bearings into hub. Or use hydraulic press. Don't forget spacer/collar between bearings inside wheel.
