Help w/ painting my F3
#11
if youve got patience then painting with rattle cans is always an option. I rattled the front fairing on my old bike after it started fading. It wasn't an exact match just the closest one i could find at the autoparts store:
Before:
After:
I've painted a lot and just didnt feel like wet sanding the final product to give it that shine, but as you can see it was hardly noticeable.

well i have started prepping all the fairings on my bike, but i have to wait another month or 2 for temperature to drop to suitable cure temp for bed liner.
price:
liner kit - 150
schutz gun 20-80
etching primer - 20
bed liner is also much easier than paint, and of course more durable. with added structural integrity, sound dampening, heat resistant, and hard to scratch finish.
im sure she'll turn some heads, however i can't decide on colour. at the moment i'm leaning heavily towards OD/army green

Finished it!!!!
HHHHAAAAAZZZZZAAAAA!!!
it feels so good to have this done!
I'm a bad procrastinator so its an epic victory on the new years resolution front...
Raptor liner is pretty good. I found the closer you spray the smoother the surface. Its not a perfect job but it looks good IMO...
I was thinking about adding some white "army font" lettering/wording.
