So now your 2 wire lights will be DRLs and blinkers?

OK...here is my issue.....bear with me if you have already heard of this but I have been looking it up but haven't seen anything....

I installed front flush lights in my 2002 Honda CBR600 F4i. After installing ALL my lights have become running lights. They ALL stay on constantly.

Some background...I installed LED integrated taillights but also kept the OEM rear turn signals and everything was good. Once I installed the front LED flush mounts that's where I ran into some issues....ALL my lights stay YELLOW....even my brake lights, so I don't have brakes now just constant yellow rear lights.
The blink rate is fine...its a little fast but nothing to crazy.
Tomorrow I am going to get those items that is explained in this post and see if it helps but till then if anyone has some suggestions I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks.

You brake lights (RED FLARE) has been override by signal yellow. How many wires coming from your flush mount? Two? Recheck the diagram....likely you hook it up other way around....we had some members here did the same too...

This thread was great! It has saved me so much time and so many damn questions. Thank you so much for it!

I went and picked up those diodes......

I cant believe that a 10 cent diode fixed all my problems. I guess power must run from front to back somehow?! Once I installed the four diodes everything went back to normal. Thanks for your help and for this post.

Great Thread that has apparently been useful for over 3 years now! I just used these instructions step by step, right down to the radio shack part numbers that are still relevant... And the results were exactly as advertised, worked like a charm! As good a post today as the day it was written!

Thanks :-)

has anyone tried wiring resistors in line with the running light wires?
was thinking of trying it, id like for the output of the running light signal to be just a little dimmer than that of the flasher signal.

So all four diodes are the same? Either 1N4001 or 1N4007? I thought one wire was one diode and the other wire the other diode. So, once again, they're all the same?

doesnt matter what diode you use, as long as its rated for the voltage/current
i just used some i had in a parts kit from school.

Ok cool. I coulda had mine done today but I thought I had to have both kinds. Lol!! I'll get another pair of the ones I bought today and do mine up. I'm tired of not having front signals. Makes me nervous. Hell, it's bad enough we're invisible let alone contributing by not having front signals.

Sorry to revive this question but am i understanding this right?
I went to radio shack they only had the in4001 so i bought 4, im okay using that on all 4 wires? also i am getting the integrated tail light so do i need to install the diodes on the turn signal wires in the taillight aswell? and it shows the taillight coming with resisters but i want to get the load flasher relay so should i not install resistors? thanks guys i apprciate any help this will be the first mod i have done and im pretty excited.
