Default weird clutch problem

I have a 05rr and well around 8-9thousand miles the clutch started well it was sliping at high rpm's, i would have to let off and let it grab and then take off again. well a wile after that the tension on the clutch was real tight so i would lossen it and it would get tighter a few hundred miles down the road. then i would lossen it. I allways thought that when your clutch goes bad it would get loser. I dont know. Any help would be great. I have a barnet clutch now still waiting to put it on but i would like to prevent any problems witht the new clutch.. thanks THEKID

Sure sounds like a burnt clutch. Probably warped steels or burnt. Put the barnett in and adjust correctly and you shouldnt have any problems.

Also when you take it apart, use a scotch bright pad to clean your steels so that you get the glaze off of them.
