just today we flused out the rad and put new rear brakes on but then i noticed a werid sound with the clutch out there is like a slight rumble that u can feel. but then when u pull in the clutch theres no sound does not seem to affect any thing just never heard that sound. sounds almost like something spininng i try adjusting the clucth cable kinda helped but not much. please tell me its not a big deal

 

"Big deal" is subjective. Bike's are way easier than cars to rebuild.

We need more information: When do you hear it? When idling? When accellerating? Both? Is it a low rumble, or a high clack? If you put pressure on the shifter, does the sound change?

 

hey ive noticed the same noise, its kinda a deep rattle with no ping sound you can feel it as well. it happens when you release the clutch in neutral. im not sure if it happens while its released in gear because there is too much engine noise and vibration.

 

Warner's noise is normal, if the first is similar to his, then it's normal.

 

its not much of a rattle as much as a kinda vibrating hum type sound and if ya open the oil cap theres sounds comming from there never had it open before while running so i dont know if it made sound before.

 

It's the clutch basket & it's perfectly normal to make that noise.

My 2002 954rr is doing the same thing but it is kinda loud definately louder and more vibration when the clutch is out than with my f2. Is that normal or should I pay to have them check the transmission.

 

+1. And some bikes are a little louder than others.
