Default throttle stop skrew?

I have a 97 cbr 600 that's currently out of commision. This morning I was warming up my bike and while I was adjusting the idle speed control (throttle stop skrew), I think I broke it. Now it just rotates and rotates without effecting anything. What's worse, it broke off at a very low idleing speed (about 800) and it's imposible to drive it now unless I keep the choke in, and that makes it run like crap. I'm going to take the fairings off tomorrow and take a look at it, but I was hoping someone could tell me what I'm getting in to. Thank you very much for taking the time to read this.

Default RE: throttle stop skrew?

well i dont think you will be able to reach it from between the frame but you can give it a try. If you really want to get at it you need to turn off the gas to ur tank and take it off. then the annoying task of taking off the air filter box. then loosen the collar closest to the engine where the engine and carbs connect. Its a long process, but it u have a spare afternoon... then you can lift up the carbs and see the throttle stop screw. sounds like it just came out of its seating, you should be able to fiddle with it and get it back the way it was. And it isnt really good for the bike to ride with the choke in. Hope this helps
