Throttle sticking Please Help!!
Hey what's up everyone I have a 2003 600rr that I bought used last october and after getting some time on the bike I'm having definite issues with the throttle staying wide open. I've heard that your supposed to lube the throttle cables but I'm not sure which one or both or what. Could it also be that cables are just too tight? Anyways this is my first post just wanted to introduce myself I'm from Westminster Md any help with this issue would be much appreciated.
Welcome to the forum!! As far as throttle sticking, i'm not too sure where to lube on a 600rr, but if you have bar ends, ya might take the right one off and see if it frees the throttle. Sometimes the bar end scrubs up against the grip and causes it to stick.. I'll see what i can find to better help you if that's not it.
Yes, search the simplest solution first. I know that when I transport my bike to the track, that the canyon-dancers will pull on my grips causing the throttle to stick. Check on binding w/ your grip first. Hope you resolve it.
