taking off clip ons

Default taking off clip ons

i need to remove my right clipon, i have the MC off and the switch and unbolted it. now i have to slid it off somehow.

how do i remove the steering stem. is it easy? do i need a stem stand? any info would be great thanks

You don't have to remove the steering stem. Remove the front wheel. Loosen the upper and lower pinch bolts on the triple clamps for that side. Slide the fork tube down through the upper clamp, and far enough down to remove the clipon.

i will need it to be on stands then right? if its on fork stands how do i move the fork down? and is all the wieght on one fork ok?
