sudden death?
I just got ahold of a 2000 cbr600f4 and i was told that the only things she needed was 1 fuse 2 oil change 3 new tires....well i fixed all these problems and got to take it out yesterday for my frist ride ever....made it around a few blocks ab 20min worth of riding...and i stalled her trying to go fron N to 1st and all the lights went out...checked the wireing...all fuses good...so i replaced em ne ways...checked ground..replaced ground...still no power? ne thoughts?
Battery connection can do it since they have to run their power from off the battery even while running. Mine I didn't snug mine down good enough and it did the same thing almost, sputtered and stalled leaving a gas station.
battery checked...bolts tightened and all cleaned...power to main fuse box goin to harness..but reading no power to other fuse box?...useing probe with dummy light...checked the tops of fuses while key was on...
Power generally goes from the battery to the Starter Relay as well as to the 30A fuse (30A on a F3, others may be diffferent). Leaving the fuse, it goes to the Ignition Switch, and then to the Fuse Box. If your main fuse is good, then the Ignition Switch is the next place to look.
