Default all the sudden wont run...?

well i had just got on it this mornin and went about a half mile so the choke was still on( it was about 50 deg) and it just cut off going down the road. it cranked back up a few times but wouldent take the gas. so i put gas in it thinking mabye it was out but it wasn't
so now im thinking mabye theres trash or water in the carbs or hopefully just one of them. then the battery died after only a few times trying to start it..(it always starts as soon as i hit the button) so we put a jump box on it and tried some more and it ran one time at a super low idol with the choke on (so low the cam chain was ratteling) but wouldent take any gas, i tried reserve and reg. so i got a ride to work and left it at a place i know. any suggestions of what to do first when i get home? i really wish i could avoid cleaning all 4 carbs... : (
thanks

Try increasing the idle speed. I've had this on mine a couple of times and doing that has fixed it.

Did it make a popping sound when it died ?

Mine had the same problem, and it turned out to be the vacuum operated petcock valve sticking, and not letting any gas into the carbs.
The bike would run until the carbs where dry.....

dumb question here, but you do have the gas selector on either RES or ON right?

Possibly gas-line kinked?
