My heart dropped when I heard that pop!
oh ya, same here.

LOL

ya, i think that at least 75% of the thread is gone, so i can't tap with the same 10mm.

i bought a helicoil kit yesterday. but unless i drop the motor, i had to make a custom insert tool which i already did. but i don't trust myself to tap it, cause if i screw up, its a friggin motor-mount....don't wanna make it any worse.

right now, the bikes at the dealer, if they can't do it, i'm gonna take it to my welder guy who is also a mechanic, and we're gonna do it there.

sucks to not have ur bike!!!

after this is done, i'm gonna go get me a craftsmen 3/8 torque wrench.

i have stripped the one on the stunt bike 2 times now. i am now a m12 1.50. its pretty solid now because i tapped the silver spacer aswell as the motor mount. its very easy to retap the mount.

Default RE: stripped my engine mount!

im tryin to keep it the same size cause

1. i don't wanna have to get a new/custom bolt for my mount/cage everytime i wanna change something
2. i havn't heard anything bad about helocoil, it apparrently makes it even stronger

ps. anyone else see the helocoil ad that google is putting on this page right now? LOL
