stripped my engine mount!

stripped my engine mount!
i was installing a frame slider bolt, and i guess i tightened it too much.
one i heard that noise, "chrkafo", i knew it was stripped.
from wat i understand, i have to tap/re-thread it?
do i have another choice?
also, the engine mount bolt is a 10mm, if re-threading, would i HAVE-TO go up 1mm? meaning to 11mm? or can i still keep it at 10mm?
lastly, can i still ride my bike?

RE: stripped my engine mount!
the bolt didn't get stuck, it just won't go in past a certain point if being used with the frame slider...itll basically just turn in place.
but if i take the frame slider outta the way(making the bolt longer cause there is nothing in the middle now), i noticed that the threads for the engine mount are only gone in the middle of the hole(very small portion)....meaning there is still some thread left at the beginning and the end of the hole.....so the bolt goes almost all the way in, u think thats enough? or should i still tap it?

I have read of people that just drill through it and then use a bolt with a nut on the other end so if it happens again you just replace the bolt and nut.

i mean its the engine case, and there is no other side to put a nut on?

in this case you 'can' try to clean up the thread with a tap of the same size. if that doesn't work then you'll need to go bigger. if option no. 1 doesn't work and you still want to keep the same size then you can helicoil...but that involves some drilling...muhahhahah
