So I guess the previous owner dumped the bike when he had the Freestyle Inginuity cage on and when I went to take out the right side engine mount all the threading came with! Completely stripped, I've re-tapped it to a 1/2 inch diameter threading but the metal seems sosoft that I can only get about 25 lb's of torque before it wants to strip again. Just want to hear suggestions for what I should do, I'm thinking while I'm on spring break in 2 weeks I'll drill the hole completely and plug it with a piece that has the correct threading. Just wondering if I can weld that piece onto the engine or not, same with the mounting bracket. Not as much of an issue, the threading for the engine is more important. But I'm also very open to other ideas as well, just want to hear your advice. Thanks much.
