Cool ? on Synthetic

08 CBR 1000RR I've had synthetic in it can you go back to regular oil on the next change? I've just had this bike around 6 months and have put around 1300 miles on it and the oil is still good but it has dropped exactly halfway between the marks on the dipstick how much do I need to add, just put in a little until it measures right at the top mark?

rotella t6 synthetic and purolator pure one filter under $30 and change every 5k miles. good stuff and cheap on the wallet. go to "bob is the oil guy" web site and read the info there.

Yes, you can switch between synthetic and regular if you like.
And yeah, I'd just add a little bit at a time until the level is correct. Just make sure it's actually low, though. Check and recheck because a slight lean of the bike when you're checking the oil can make a big difference on the dipstick.

Are you checking it with both wheels on level ground and the bike held in an upright, balanced position?

I have an 08 1000RR and that's how I check it. Plus, with the dipstick after I initially wipe it off and reinsert it to where the threads touch the case I rotate the stick at least one full turn COUNTERclockwise so the oil level reads the same on all sides.
