the straight answer to your question is - NO...

btw - have you checked insurance costs for a 600 sportbike with an 17 y.o. rider?

suck it up, forget the looks, and buy a 500R. Plenty of power for the freeway, nimble as all hell for the twistys, and they top out at like 120 or something like that. Then buy a 600RR when you can afford the payments and have a bit more experience under your belt.

Well, I dunno how far you'd be willing to go, but you could get some kinda piggyback that can control spark and have it tuned so the spark cuts off at like 5000 rpm... however that's kind of an extreme and the whole convincing your parents/moving out/demonstrating self-restraint is probably a more practical option.
