Default Shift Return Spring?

95 F3. She will go into gear fine, but I have to lift my shifter manually with my foot every time to get it ready for the next gear.
has anyone had to replace the shift return spring?
Splitting cases is what its looking like

Any resolution with this? I seem to have the same issue with my '98 F3.

Considering how troublefree it's been for the last 83k mi, I really can't complain & the bike deserves a little attention.

isn't what you're talking about right behind the clutch basket? you should not have to split the case for that....

not exactly sure, but if you were going to split the case, you'd need to take the clutch and basket out anyways.... unless the casing is radically different from other bikes, you should most likely be able to do it without having to split the case. are you talking about #10 or #8? 8 should definitely be on the outside, and i'm pretty sure you can still change 10 without splitting... on most bikes anyways
